Rishi Rajendran won in November Rishi Rajendran, a second grade student from Town Center Elementary School, won the Elite section of the Princeton Charter School November 2008 chess tournament. Twenty –five chess players from a variety of regional schools took part in the competition. Rishi obtained 3.5 points in the round robin system used in the top section , followed in order by Jay Yalamanchili, Matthew Danielson, Marko Van Selous and Alex Roth. In the Over 300 section , Lincoln Roth earned first place, followed by kindergartener Jai Narayanan and Saumya Malik. In the Under 300 section, Merrick Chang was the victor with a perfect score. Second place was secured by Wyatt Zetterberg and third was Harrison Max. |
